Little Caesars Breadsticks Recipe
Ingredients
For the Breadsticks:
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
- Cooking spray or olive oil
For Topping and Serving:
- 4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) unsalted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, plus more for sprinkling
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder or granulated garlic
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- Marinara or pizza sauce, for dipping (optional)
Instructions
Make the Breadsticks:
- Warm 3/4 cup of water in the microwave or on stove until it’s comfortably warm. Pour this warm water into stand mixer bowl. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of sugar and 1 teaspoon of active dry yeast on top and wait about 5 minute until it gets bubbly. While waiting, Melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter in microwave or on the stove.
- Take the dough out of the bowl and form it into ball. Apply a little cooking spray or olive oil to the bowl that is now empty. Put the dough back in bowl and turn it around to get it coated. Cover bowl with plastic wrap or kitchen towel and let its rise in warm place until it puffs up slightly, Which usually takes 1 to 1 1/2 hours. While waiting, prepare 2 baking sheets by lining them with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.
- Divide the dough into 18 portions and place on an unfloured work surface. Shape each into a smooth ball: One at a time, cup each piece of dough beneath your palm and round the dough, work in quick, circular motions to form a tight ball with only a tiny seam along the bottom.
- Starting in center, roll each ball along work surface with your fingertip into 6 inch long breadstick that is about 3/4 inch wide. Arrange nine on each baking sheet, spacing them evenly apart.
- Loosely cover with plastic wrap or clean kitchen towel and let rise in warm place until a little puff about 30 minute. Meanwhile, arrange two racks to divide oven in thirds and heat oven to 400ºF.
- Uncover the breadsticks and bake for 8 minutes. Rotate the baking sheets from front to back. Bake until light goldenbrown in spots on the topped and brown on bottom, 6 to 7 minute more. A few minute before they are ready, prepare topping.
